Josaphat Laboratory (JMRSL) finished Hinotori-C1 (Firebird-C1) mission at Yogyakarta, Indonesia on 24 August – 3 September 2017. This first flight mission used Cessna 172 aircraft using full circularly polarized antenna (LL, RR, RL, and LR) that works in C band frequency (center frequency 5.3 GHz). We operated our C Band Circularly Polarized Synthetic Aperture Radar (CP-SAR) system with bandwidth 100, 200, and 400 MHz to adjust to bandwidth of antenna. This SAR system will be employed for our microsatellite SAR (GAIA-II series) in the near future. This mission is collaboration of Chiba University, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesian Aerospace Agency, and Akademi Angkatan Udara to realize SAR system for disaster monitoring, especially land deformation. This mission got permission by Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI), Japanese Government, No. G-WI-17-600054, 26 April 2017. Detail press release will be done at Indonesia and Japan soon.
